Meet The Luckey Traveler
Hello Everyone! My name is Jasmine Luckey, I am 29 years old, and the face behind The Luckey Traveler.
A little about me is that I grew up as an Army brat and have had the privilege of living in many places across North America before setting some roots in Virginia.
I received my Bachelor of Science in Social Work at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) and my Master of Arts in Criminal Justice at Norfolk State University (NSU).
I felt like a late-bloomer to the travel game and didn't get a real taste of it until my last semester at VCU when I enrolled into a study abroad program in Paris, France for my last semester. Since then, I was completely bit by the travel bug and knew that I wanted to see more of the world.
As of current, I have traveled to 15 countries so far and still get excited when I receive a new stamp on my passport. These countries include most of North America, Germany, France, Canada, Mexico, the Netherlands, Jamaica, Indonesia, Bahamas, Aruba, China, Italy, Croatia, Bosnia, and India. I am determined to add two new countries to my list every year.
About the Travel Blog
Over the years I have been asked to blog about my unique travel experiences, and I am finally taking the plunge. Through this platform I want to encapsulate all of my solo and group experiences as a biracial woman traveling abroad.
This website will hopefully encourage everyone who is curious about exploring the world, whether on a budget or for those who are still hesitant when it comes to traveling solo. I want to show you that traveling doesn't have to be expensive to the average person, but that we can all still enjoy the luxuries that most people dream about. I will also be sharing my favorite methods of finding the best travel deals because sharing is caring.
